Very clean & well-maintained hotel in an excellent location. The hotel is not new, but is as clean as new. Friendly & helpful staff. You can walk downtown, to the shops & marina. The office & parking lot for a ferry is the next business over. Behind the hotel is a Mexican restaurant, and a long-standing hot dog place. The only drawback was that the contractor cut corners on the sound-proofing. I will stay again.

Place is very organized I thought and super helpful and friendly staff . We stayed for the Labor Day bridge walk and they had a small selection for breakfast up for us walkers which everyone really liked . Though they did promptly shut it down at 10am . So if you planned on eating breakfast when you were done you better walk fast! 😜. Rooms are clean and have everything you would expect a hotel in Mackinaw to have. Thank you Wyndham and staff you guys rocked it

Hotel was clean and inviting. Staff was friendly and prompt. Our suite was clean and cozy. Room was cleaned appropriately prior to our arrival. Bed was comfortable! Pool and hot tub area was clean. Hot tub was perfect temperature. Many parking spots available, even though it was labor day and the town was flooded with people for the bridge walk. Within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on Mackinacs strip. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location do walk to the ferry as well as the local attractions. When I arrived the Inn smelled fresh and clean. Our room was extremely clean as well as the halls and sitting areas. Staff were present and helpful when needed. Highly recommend Baymont by Wyndham in Mackinaw City.

Top service and location, very accommodating and professional. Good enough breakfast, waffles, eggs, sausage and your typical continental. Rooms are to be expected, small and older and didn’t love the odor but overall quiet considering we were on the first floor.

My wife and I traveled from Germany to Mackinaw City, and staying at the Hamilton Inn was one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. Everyone was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with recommendations or questions.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the water. We especially enjoyed waking up to the sunrise over Lake Huron—absolutely unforgettable. The hotel’s location is perfect as well; it’s just a short walk from the ferry docks, shops, and restaurants, which made exploring the area very convenient.
Breakfast was surprisingly good with plenty of options, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. After long days of sightseeing, we appreciated how quiet and peaceful the hotel felt.
Overall, the Hamilton Inn exceeded our expectations, and we would gladly stay here again on our next visit. Highly recommended!

5 stars for the simple fact a the king suite was more accessible that any accessible room I've had anywhere else. I was able to wheel around the room with little to no issues. Now the bathroom... If you are able to stand and get over the bathtub, there's room for a shower chair and a small rail. No rail rear the toilet but the sink counter is right there to hold. The balcony has a small step down but able to hold on to the door to go in and out. The jacuzzi could use rails. With mobility issues, you cannot safely lay back and relax.
The sofa was a suede material which is gross to think about. Definitely cannot be cleaned properly.
Breakfast was ok. Something for everyone. Hot food, cereal, yogurt, breakfast bars, bagels, bread, fruit.
Could stand being updated. We were there off season and that price was fine. Summer rates, I'd expect more.
We didn't know the water park was open until we were checking out and someone asked for passes. I probably could enjoy most of it but my spouse could have. Be sure to ask for passes.

The rooms had an odd smell at first, but honestly, it took me back to how hotels used to smell back in the day—before all these new modern rooms with their strange, artificial scents. I know it's a weird thing to mention, but it's true, lol. Aside from that, the only real issue we had was that the drains in all the rooms we rented were extremely slow. Other than that, the stay was very enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly, and we had a great experience overall. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Room was actually ok, except for a couple of things. Wall paper a little dirty/peeling in some places and the shower had zero place for you to put your soap, shampoo, etc. If you wanted a shower, you needed to place your items on the floor. No thanks. Screen door had holes so little bugs got in. But we were right on the beach and the room appeared clean.

Can't say the same for the staff who were extremely rude to my husband. They don't like answering questions about the hotel and things they do and don't offer. They did let us check in early after agreeing to it over the phone and then forgetting about it when we arrived. I sat back and watched as the manager sucked her teeth, started speaking to the other 2 employees in another language, & got short with my husband. One lady was nice, manager and the other were not. This customer service technique is not it.

On the other hand, the cleaning staff we spoke with were pleasant and helpful.

Location is good, but if you are looking for Mackinac Island amenities and customer service from this Mackinaw City hotel, you will need to lower your expectations.

The room was dirty. The tub was dirty. The jetted tub was lined with sand after draining it. We were not on the beach. This came from the jets themselves. Upon a closer look they were dirty. When we mentioned it to the front desk they claimed "the lines are flushed and that is the result". That did not remove any concerns. The bathroom sink didn't drain properly. The screen on the sliding door was taped at the top and the tape was hanging half off. The pool was dirty and the hot tub was filthy. You could not even see the bottom. There was peeling stripping all around the top of the hot tub. It looked too disgusting to enter. The room came with free waterpark passes at a local hotel. It has a couple of waterside and a lazy river. Both slides were closed and boarded up and the plunge pool empty. The lazy river barely moved. We stayed less than 10 minutes. For the price we paid I expected better. I would NOT recommend this hotel.
