Estes Park Hot Tub Hotels: Quick Guide

Quick reference for booking a Jacuzzi suite in Estes Park, Colorado

Best Time to Visit

  • Summer (June–August): Peak season for Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Trail Ridge Road is fully open, elk are grazing in the meadows, and every hotel in town is at or near capacity. Murphy's Resort, Murphy's River Lodge, and the Stanley Hotel see their highest demand and pricing. Book 6–8 weeks ahead for July and August weekends. This is the most expensive but also the most rewarding season for outdoor exploration.
  • Fall (September–October): One of the most spectacular seasons, with golden aspen foliage, bugling elk during the rut, and thinning crowds after Labor Day. Trail Ridge Road typically remains open through mid-October. A strong window for soaking in a private hot tub after a day of hiking. Pricing drops from summer peaks but availability can still be tight on fall weekends.
  • Spring (April–May): The shoulder season, with melting snow, rushing waterfalls, and gradually warming temperatures. Trail Ridge Road begins to open (weather dependent, typically late May). Good availability and lower pricing than summer. Some smaller properties may have limited availability or seasonal closures in early spring. A good value window for visitors willing to accept variable weather.
  • Winter (December–March): Cold and snowy, with temperatures often below freezing. Trail Ridge Road is closed, but Estes Park itself remains open and accessible via Highway 34 and Highway 36. The quietest and most affordable season, with the most dramatic hot tub experiences as you soak under snowfall and starlit mountain skies. The Stanley Hotel's winter atmosphere is particularly memorable.
Booking tip: Estes Park is the eastern gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. During peak summer (July and August) and elk rut season (September and October), the town fills to capacity and last-minute availability is nearly impossible. Timed entry reservations are required for Rocky Mountain National Park during summer. Plan both your hotel and park entry well in advance. Fall River Road properties (Inn on Fall River, Wildwood Inn, Boulder Brook, Fawn Valley Inn) offer the most direct access to the park's Fall River entrance.

Important Booking Tips for Estes Park

  • Confirm the exact room type: Estes Park properties often have multiple room and cabin types with very different amenities. Look for "Jacuzzi Suite," "Hot Tub Cabin," "Deck Hot Tub Room," "Spa Suite," or "Balcony Hot Tub" when booking. At properties like Inn on Fall River and Wildwood Inn, the hot tub configuration varies by specific room category.
  • Rocky Mountain National Park timed entry: During peak summer months, Rocky Mountain National Park requires timed entry reservations. These are released in advance and can sell out quickly. Plan your park visit and hotel stay together, ensuring your timed entry aligns with your hotel dates. Fall River Road properties offer the most convenient access to the Fall River entrance.
  • Contact-for-rates properties: River Stone Resorts and Bear Paw Suites, Boulder Brook on Fall River, and Fawn Valley Inn do not list public pricing in this dataset. Contact these properties directly for current rates, as pricing can vary significantly by season and room type. All three are among the highest-rated in Estes Park.
  • The Stanley Hotel distinction: The Stanley Hotel is Estes Park's most famous property, known as the inspiration for Stephen King's "The Shining." While its Jacuzzi rooms are available, its rating (7.2/10) is notably lower than many smaller properties in town. If historic atmosphere matters more than top-tier amenities, the Stanley delivers. If hot tub quality and value are the priority, Fall River Road properties outperform it significantly.
  • Pet-friendly picks: Murphy's Resort at Estes Park and Murphy's River Lodge both accept pets. Confirm size limits and fees before booking. Most Estes Park properties do not allow pets due to proximity to wildlife habitat.
  • Free breakfast included: Murphy's Resort at Estes Park, Appenzell Inn, Blue Door Inn, Estes Mountain Inn, and Taharaa Mountain Lodge all include free breakfast. At mountain pricing levels, this adds meaningful daily value, especially for families.

Second stay, but this time needed ADA room for mom, and another 2 rooms. Staff (Kenna) picked out the perfect rooms. I was right next door to mom in an adjoining room. We were all very comfortable. Always very clean, and nice amenities in rooms. Exceptional value. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Isaac and Patty.

We are locals and wanted a getaway with a hot tub near RMNP. Rates were quite reasonable since it is the off season.

We got the Standard King aka the Petite King with the jetted in room tub. It was perfect for us with a king bed, great pillows, the instant on gas fireplace and of course the 2 person in roon spa tub we wanted for some romance as a senior couple. Some reviews criticize the basement rooms because they dont offer a view of the mountains. We are spoiled living an hour away and seeing the mountains and RMNP anytime we want. We wanted an excuse to checkout the Stanley Hotel and the town of Estes Park and have a relaxing romantic soak while we spend the night.

We will be back. The room was clean, beautiful and in a great location. It looks like we will have to settle for a weeknight in the peak season, because rooms are already sold out. I can see why!

We're local to Loveland, and we've stayed here before and have enjoyed both our stays. We love fireplace and hot tub especially after a long cold walk around the lake. We had complimentary s'mores one night on our last stay, but you can always grab a dvd or board game and head back to your room if you prefer. With winter weather here, it probably wouldn't hurt to be prepared w other media that either runs off wifi, in case the satellite goes out. I love some of the simpler things too, like being able to open windows if I want (bldg A). Location is a 3min drive down the hill to Downtown Estes and the walking path around the lake. The kitchenette space is also great; it comes fully stocked w pots, pans, plates, one burner plug in, small appliances, silverware, can/bottle openers, corkscrew, dishwasher, microwave, mini fridge and freezer. It really is a great place to glamp and our retreat from home. Tip: we usually do a small and simple grocery shop before heading up into the mountains.

We stayed here for three nights, and we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff was kind, welcoming, and professional. The rooms are impeccably clean, and indoor pool and hot tub are a welcome respite after hiking all day. It’s located out of the downtown craziness, which is nice.

There were only two small drawbacks. The bathrooms are in need of an update. Also, we stayed in Building A, Room 3. It was nice and big, but it was basically on the highway. So you just hear and see cars going by all the time, which renders the private outdoor space useless or at the very least unpleasant. The other buildings were more set back, and may not have that issue.

TLDR: The rooms are large and clean and well cared for, and the location overall makes it easily accessible and convenient but doesn’t quite feel like a retreat into the woods.

Stayed 11/24-28/2025 - The room was nice, very spacious with a little mini kitchen (mini-fridge, sink, utensils, and microwave, no stove). The bed was a little too stiff for my old body. The balcony was wonderful with the hot tub. A real issue for me was that management does not provide local channels on the TV so if you have sports or shows you like to watch at the end of the day, you either have to connect your own streaming service or, in my case, watch from your laptop or phone. I was hoping to watch football over Thanksgiving, so I had to settle watching on my laptop. Took me an hour how to figure out, with the help of service, how to connect to Pluto TV. The resort is three miles outside of town so it's not close to shops and restaurants. There are a lot of options in Estes Park so we'll stay somewhere else next time.

One of the most peaceful and enjoyable stays for my wife and I. Property is set just outside of downtown Estes and so close to the entrance of RMNP. Room was well decorated and included a gas fireplace and a private hot tub on the balcony overlooking the mountains. 10/10 and will absolutely be coming back.

One of the most relaxing experiences I’ve had in a long time. The remote check-in process was really nice, and the keypad entry made arriving at any time convenient. The room was very clean and included a fireplace, private hot tub, and kitchenette, everything I love. The view was stunning, and the property felt both private and serene. I appreciated the thoughtful follow-up text and how simple checkout was. A gorgeous facility in an incredible location.

The acccomodation was a nice size for a couple. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed was very comfortable, the fireplace & private (very clean) hot tub were nice amenities. The furniture was very comfortable. Parking was pretty much right outside our door. The location was great, only 10 min to the National Park, and to Estes Park. We were very pleased overall.

We loved the location out of town. And it was above the side road going into The national park. The room was very roomy as well as the bathroom and very comfortable. The check-in was super easy. And they have a room where you can just take for yourselves extra towels, board games etc very well run place.
