Absolutely outstanding. Fantastic location, on the water and close to the quaint downtown. The owners are incredibly kind, thoughtful and friendly. The room was so beautifully designed and appointed and seemed brand-new (we were in 11, in the corner overlooking the water). And the breakfasts were phenomenal! I wish I took a picture of one of the menus - every night guests receive a new menu to choose from, which includes a choice of 4 fantastic meals. Every day offered different meals - we were there 3 nights and every breakfast we got was beyond delicious (and healthy!). Thank you for a wonderful stay - we hope to be back soon! PS - I’m not sure what kind of pillow was in our room but that was the best and most-comfortable pillow I’ve ever used in all my life. 🙂
Great experience staying in Room #3 at the Harborage Inn during the off-season. We really enjoyed the location on the harbor and how close it was to walk to restaurants and shopping downtown. We loved the fresh breakfasts delivered to our room each morning. Would highly recommend staying here if visiting Boothbay Harbor.
Owners were very accommodating & The breakfast was out of this world! We stayed two nights, fantastic location, great views, just a wonderful stay! Thank you!!
We stayed here for a quick weekend trip three nights. Location is perfect. Can walk right into the town to go to the stores or to get food. View is amazing and you get to eat your breakfast on the deck. Let's talk breakfast. You get a menu each night at your door and get to pick your selections. The food is absolutely amazing and delicious- included in the room. The room is so nicely appointed. Nice windows, big comfy bed with electric fireplace. Good sized fridge. Bathroom has a towel warmer! This is the place to stay in Boothbay. Staff is wonderful. Would stay again.
We had such a lovely stay at the Harborage Inn. It’s a beautiful, well-maintained property with amazing views. We especially enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the harbor.
The best part was the incredible breakfast they made each morning & brought to our room! It was very tasty & the staff were so warm/welcoming. We have 3 kids who are wild & they were really patient/kind with them which we greatly appreciated. The kids loved exploring the decks & property by the water. It was a perfect location for exploring Boothbay (we could walk everywhere)!
Can’t wait to come back one day! This is the only place we would stay. Thank you Alex & staff for making it such a wonderful stay!!
A little older motel with nice updates and Very clean. Owner/ manager helped me get into a room that better suited my disability pretty quickly when I found the room I booked was not adequate. Nice people. I will be staying here again.
Very clean rooms, good beds and updated bathroom with walk in shower. Mini frig, microwave and coffee maker in room. Delicious breakfast included. Good location to area attractions while not in downtown Boothbay harbor. Pool on-site. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!
Budget friendly they had a very good breakfast included in the price. There was a variety to choose from including waffles, scrambled eggs, bagels, cereal, fresh coffee, and juice. They made a very pricey tourist town affordable and very enjoyable. Our room was clean and comfortable. Located just minutes to down town Booth Bay Harbor and several areas amenities. Pet friendly! We will be staying here again.
Rooms are beautifully update and chic. Clean and comfortable. The front desk is kind and helpful and the free breakfast is a great way to get your day started without going to a crowded restaurant. The location is nice in terms of 43 minutes from a lighthouse and a short 2 minute drive to the harbor. There is a gas station and strip mall across the street as well as an ice cream stand practically on the property. A great and affordable place to stay.
We recently stayed at the Flagship Inn during a visit to Bay Harbor, and overall, it was a solid and budget-friendly choice with a few standout features that made the stay enjoyable.
Location is definitely the highlight – the hotel is about a mile from downtown Bay Harbor, which made it easy to walk or drive to the heart of the action. Bay Harbor itself is a charming little tourist destination filled with restaurants, local shops, and opportunities for whale and puffin-watching excursions. The famous footbridge that spans the bay is a must-see and adds to the small-town charm of the area.
What really attracted me to the Flagship Inn was the price point. Compared to some of the higher-end hotels nearby, this property offered a much more affordable stay without sacrificing convenience or friendliness. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made a great first impression. They also provide a complimentary breakfast with hot food each morning**, which was a nice perk and a good way to start the day.
The hotel itself looks like it's had some recent remodeling, which helps freshen things up, though some aspects still feel a bit dated. The one downside of our stay was the bed comfort—after long days of exploring, it would’ve been nice to have a more supportive mattress. It wasn’t terrible, just not quite as restful as we hoped.
Overall, if you're looking for a clean, friendly, and affordable place to stay near downtown Bay Harbor, the Flagship Inn is a great option. Just don’t expect luxury-level beds—but the location, value, and service more than make up for it.
