Explore Atlanta: Top Spots, Eats, and Hotel Picks

TubHotels found the best hotel rooms with private jacuzzis around Atlanta. You’re looking at $80-180 per night for decent places, or $240+ if you want luxury in Buckhead. Most are 15-25 minutes from downtown, which isn’t bad.

Attractions Worth Exploring

  • The Georgia Aquarium costs $55 for fixed dates, while anytime tickets cost $68. They’ve got whale sharks – the only aquarium in the US that has them. Weekday mornings are way less crowded. Takes about 2-3 hours to walk through the whole thing.
  • Centennial Olympic Park is free and stays open till 19 PM. The fountain does shows every hour when it’s warm out. Bring snacks or buy food from the carts nearby.
  • The High Museum of Art switches up exhibits every couple of months. It’s $23.50 normally, but free on the second Sunday every month. Worth timing your trip for that if you can.
  • Stone Mountain Park charges $20 per car to get in. The hike up is steep – 825 feet of climbing. Takes most people 45 minutes going up. You can see way out into five different counties when the weather’s clear.

Where to Eat or Drink

  • Mary Mac’s Tea Room opened in 1945 and still serves the same Southern food. Fried chicken runs around $22, and the portions are massive. You’ll probably want to split an entree or take half home. Their mac and cheese is good too – it comes in a bowl that could feed two people as a side.
  • Poor Calvin’s mixes Asian and Latin food. Their soups cost around $13. The Korean fried chicken tacos are what most people order. They don’t take reservations, so on Friday and Saturday nights, you’re waiting 20-30 minutes easily.
  • The Optimist does oysters and fish. Plan on $75-100 per person if you’re drinking. Happy hour from 3-5 PM drops oysters to $1.75 each, which is a steal.
  • Ponce City Market has like 30 food spots under one roof. Good if your group can’t agree on what to eat. They do live music in the central food hall on Friday nights.

Top Picks for Hotels with Private Jacuzzis

  1. Super 8 by Wyndham Norcross – Off I-85, about 25 minutes out. Jacuzzi suites go for $45-65, depending on when you book. Breakfast is included. The tubs actually have working jets, which you’d be surprised isn’t always the case at cheaper hotels. Two people fit fine. You get a mini-fridge and microwave.
  2. Comfort Inn & Suites – Starts at around $80/night for rooms with private hot tubs. Free breakfast until 9:30 AM. Takes about 15 minutes to reach the airport, 20 to get downtown. The pool’s open year-round. Ask for an upper floor – the ground level can be noisy.
  3. InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta – This is the expensive option. $300-330 per night. Big jetted tubs, marble bathrooms, and a separate living room area. You’re walking distance to Lenox Square if you want to shop. Valet parking’s another $62/day.

Nearby Cities for Jacuzzi Suites

Atlanta booked up? Try Lawrenceville (33 miles northeast), or Locust Grove (37 miles southeast). Each one has 12-25 hotels with jacuzzi rooms. Usually $20-40 cheaper than staying in Atlanta proper. Takes 40 minutes to drive into downtown outside of rush hour.

My friend and I came here for a spa visit for my birthday. We did the pomegranate polish with healing soles add on and I was extremely disappointed. First the day before I got a call saying that they had a conflict and needed to move the time 30 minutes earlier. When I asked if they could adjust the other persons schedule instead of mine they said they couldn’t. Then we arrived 1 minute late and there was only 1 person at the front desk so after waiting a couple minutes she called another person to the front desk. However, since we had to wait this took more time, now that time had passed they were literally rushing us. We were trying to get undressed however the changing area was so little & there were 5 of us in there trying to change at once when our massage therapist came to get us. They take us back and proceed to tell us that we can’t do our massages in the same room when we were supposed to be in the same room. Then we go to our separate rooms & I realized I ended up accidentally leaving my shower cap in the locker. I proceed to try to get it but my massage therapist was outside the door & when I was explaining to her all my hair will not fit in the small cheap shower cap they provided she proceeded to say that we didn’t have time bc we’re already late & I could get it if I want but we’re short on time. So now I’m really feeling stressed & rushed. I go back in the room & lay on the bed for the massage & the lady is rushing & talking the whole time. I was not relaxed at all, she finished up in a hurry…then it was time to wash the scrub off. I wash it off & then lay back in the bed, I was thinking I was getting a massage but all she did was oil me down. I could’ve literally done this at home for much cheaper smh. After we finished I met my friend in the relaxation area & she shared the same sentiments with me. When checking out the guy was supposed to add 20% off for the schedule change which my friend inquired about and then he realized he forgot to add the discount. He added the discount and we checked out. I do not recommend this place, they have work to do. Also not sure why there were not surfaces on their light switches, it’s not a good look!

We had a senior management visit and we took 4 suites at the hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were pretty awesome with recommendations, support and extremely polite. The food was good as well (had Alfredo pasta). Location was tucked in the middle of downtown with mostly unfriendly Atlanta traffic however the hotel was peaceful and picturesque. Loved it ❤️

I hosted my sister's bridal shower at the Four Seasons Atlanta this weekend and everything was perfect! The staff was absolutely amazing. I want to say a special thank you to Emma who took care of us and all of our guests. Emma made sure that everyone had what they needed and she went out of her way to provide exceptional service. I would like to thank Mary as well for making the planning process so simple and easy. Thank you to all the staff at the Four Seasons Atlanta. This was the first event I've had at the Four Seasons Atlanta and due to the amazing experience, I will definitely have more events here in the future!

The rooms in this hotel are average at best. The price does not match the room at all. Four Seasons around the world are luxurious hotels with world class service, however this one in Atlanta is an exception. They have twice sold a room to me and when I arrived the room that I booked wasn’t available. The front desk people are often not available. The rooms are not well kept. The toilet in my room this last weekend wasn’t even cleaned. The door to the cabinet with the refrigerator in it was coming off. My sheets had an odor on them.

I am lobbying hard to have American Express fine hotels and resorts to remove this property from its partnership.

If you want the same Four Seasons experience you have in Calabasas and other places around the country and world, do not expect it here.

Lots of hotels nearby and plenty of restaurants. Quiet location and staff was very friendly. Rooms were immaculate and parking was very close to the entrance. Lobby was beautifully designed with lots of seating and lounge areas. Area to buy snacks and drinks. Very visually appealing decor. One funny thing, we found a can of beer behind our towels in the bathroom.
Cleaning of the rooms isn’t completely checked; found someone else’s clothes in the room upon arrival and a missing iron. Overhead a guest upset about stolen items possibly taken during cleaning staffs visit. If you must stay be very cautious. They weren’t able to reduce their price based on what was discovered due to 3rd party booking (Booking.vom) per concierge.

This hotel is nice & clean, but the staff & housekeeping is horrible! They told us on the 1st night Checking in that they clean rooms every other day. Day 2, they clean rooms every 2 days, day 3 it was every 3 days! So with that being said we never got our room clean onna 6 day stay. Each day we asked to get the room cleaned, trash emptied & fresh towels, the housekeeping carts was on our floor each day we went to the front desk. They kept promising they would clean it, but didn't. On the 5th day the front desk.tells us if housekeeping skips our room, they don't come back. Each day the information changed & we didn't know what to believe. They staff was very unsure of policies & wasn't helpful with our complaint. They don't offer free breakfast either.

It’s only a 2 star because the employees were kind. The hotel itself is the issue. Booked a room one night for the kids so they can swim during spring break. On their website it wasn’t displayed that they were under construction, but that wasn’t a issue cause we weren’t able to hear it in the room. Upon going into the room it smelled like a burnt battery. Went to the front desk and the young lady said she’d send someone to take a look, but they never showed. Biggest issue was that they advertised their pool as indoor, but the indoor and outdoor pool are connected and there was so many bugs floating in the water. The “indoor” pool water was freezing cause it was cold outside. Was hoping their jacuzzi was at least usable, but that was broken. Still stayed cause I would’ve lost money trying to get they partial refund they offered..VERY disappointing. I should’ve called first instead of just booking online..
