Beautiful hotel was an old bank. We arrived Christmas Eve and the lobby looked amazing. Valet was 43$. Check in went smooth. Great pool and hot tubs on the 23rd floor open rooftop really cool great views. Dog friendly hotel. Social hour we missed as having too much fun and they offer breakfast but we missed as we had the dogs. Great location right on the river walk. Great hotel wish we had stayed another night

The price was reasonable and included breakfast. While there was an extra charge for valet parking, considering the downtown location, it was actually better and safer than finding cheaper parking elsewhere. The hotel had direct access to the Riverwalk via the basement, making it very convenient, and its location was excellent, being within a 10-minute walk of famous landmarks like the Alamo. The front desk and valet staff were all friendly, making the check-in and check-out process pleasant. Despite being an older building, it was clean, and even though my room was right next to the elevator, it wasn't noisy. Very satisfied.

The Drury Plaza hotel is a stunningly gorgeous hotel, especially the lobby and eating area. It is an old 1929 bank and has a huge art deco lobby with golden accents. The eating area is on the 2nd floor balcony which looks down on the expansive lobby. The rooms are accessed by hallways that reminded me of an old office building. Rooms are updated and they are acceptable in size but not huge. Bathrooms & linens were spotlessly clean. (I even commented to the manager about the cleanliness of our room.) Towels were amazing! This hotel has direct access to the Riverwalk by exiting through the first floor. Ticketing area for the boat rides are just a short walk from the hotel. Great location. Breakfast and evening buffets were very crowded as this was Thanksgiving weekend (11/2025) so lots of families. Staff kept up with the demand fairly well. If I returned to San Antonio I would definitely stay again at this hotel.
Caution: Don't confuse with the Drury Inn & Suites which is very nearby and I believe also on the Riverwalk.

We had a great stay and two staff members stood out.
-Theresa the front desk was very informative and professional. She really showed care and genuinely wanted to make sure we had a good stay at The Drury Plaza

- Juan, the busser, went above and beyond. He saw me eating my meal standing since the dining area was pretty busy. My wife and daughter had chairs. I didn’t ask or make a big deal about having to stand , but Juan went to get a chair and brought it to me. Thank you Juan!!

They also have free dinner snacks from530-7pm. Adults get free tickets for alcoholic drink

6-930 free breakfast was great too. We will definitely come back here

We were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming front desk team, which made for a great first impression. The lobby itself was also impressive — bright, inviting, and clearly well-maintained.

However, once we headed up to our room, things changed a bit. The corridors, in particular, felt extremely dated. They were dark, a little eerie, and honestly reminded me more of a roadside motel than a city hotel. The room followed the same theme: clean, but very old-fashioned and quite dark. I even struggled to get the blinds open properly. A modern refresh would go a long way.

On a positive note, the bed was genuinely very comfortable, and the room did feel clean — credit to the housekeeping team for that.

Breakfast, unfortunately, left a lot to be desired. Although the usual staples like eggs and bacon were available, the quality and execution weren’t what I’d expect from a 3-star hotel. A bit more care in preparation would make a big difference.

The location, though, is fantastic. Being right next to the River Walk is a huge plus.

Overall, it’s a decent hotel in a great location, but certainly not the best 3-star I’ve stayed in. With some refurbishment and improved attention to breakfast quality, I’m sure it could regain its former charm and deliver a much stronger experience.

Love this hotel! Got upgraded to a suite with balcony facing the cathedral so could see the evening light show from comfort of our own room. I know of no other hotel that offers free breakfast AND 3 free happy hour drinks AND free happy hour food that is literally a meal (pulled pork, Mac n cheese, etc). Epiphany at the front desk was so helpful, and every member of the staff was friendly, professional and goes above and beyond to assist you. Hotel is in beautiful historic building and everything was clean and comfortable. Location is by the best part of the Riverwalk near the boat cruise, restaurants and shops and short walk to the Alamo, Tower of Americas, Historic Market, everything we wanted to do and see. Awesome pool and hot tub on rooftop too.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and we had an amazing stay for the 6 nights we were there.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Justina at the front desk. She was extremely helpful in getting us into our room after multiple delayed flights made us a day late to our honeymoon. She was very accompanying and gave us so many great reccomendations of things to do while on our trip. Our room was very nice. I highly reccomend trying to book a room in the San Fernando tower. Housekeeping always did an excellent job maintaining our room.

The breakfast and kickback were delicious and did not disappoint. I honestly don't know why I would stay anywhere else other than a Drury Hotel ever again.

Excellent hotel near the Riverside. Ms.Sonya made our cozy room as neat as possible. Even though the building is more than a century old, it was kept in immaculate condition. The food was just great the complimentary drinks during happy hour was highly appreciated. Overall a pleasant stay in San Antonio.

Older hotel keeping up with the times. Lots of construction nearby, but it wasn't a problem in the evening only in the mornings. Many places to walk by from the hotel, including the river walk and the Aztec theater. The hotel features free breakfast and a free evening kickback meal which was perfect for our family of four. Would definitely consider this hotel next visiting.

This is a very pretty hotel, right on San Antonio's beautiful Riverwalk. The lobby has 50 foot ceilings with ornate golden filigree everywhere, art deco chandeliers, and a spectacular stained glass window. It once was a bank, built in 1929.

We really enjoyed the rooftop pool which has great swimming and lounging as well as a great view. Our room was very bright, and clean. There was a very nice breakfast buffet with eggs, pastries, etc. on the second floor overlooking the lobby. Practical considerations like laundry facilities and perfect air conditioning made our stay really comfortable. Every single person we met working in the hotel was super friendly and welcoming. This included people at the reception desk, those helping with breakfast in the morning, housekeepers, and valets, including Kris, who remembered our name.

I'm very glad we booked our stay here, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in San Antonio!

Fantastic hotel!

Service: the staff is kind and attentive. From check-in to waitstaff to maintenance and everyone else, they always are happy to greet you or assist in any way.

Location: right on the river walk in a classic great looking historical building. The rooftop has a pool and one of the better views of downtown.

Amenities: complimentary breakfast and dinner with drinks will save you a lot of money if you choose to eat at the hotel. I found the food to be good quality and always stocked. The hotel bar has good food as well for a fair price. The valet parking is is pretty good as you can text or use an app to call your car before you leave the room

Rooms: our room was clean and pretty spacious and the bathroom was nice. Elevators can be a bit slow but not excessively.

Overall: I’m very happy we booked this room. It was in a great location downtown with a great staff making our stay pleasant. I would quickly book this hotel again if I stay in San Antonio

Great service all throughout the hotel. They have a lot of good amenities and clean rooms.
Rooms have a full size fridge, sofa bed, 2 queen beds and a chair. Plenty for 6 people to stay. Only downfall is beds are really firm and the pillows suck no cushion or plush. Bring your own if you're a sensitive sleeper.
Cleanliness is awesome every where
Service was very good and kind
Amenities.. pools. First is the popular rooftop pool. Why is it looking green? Jacuzzi there were 2 on the rooftop pool area. Which is the 23rd floor. It had bubbles and all that. But I'm not a fan of Jacuzzis.
Free breakfast and free dinner. Breakfast is from 6 to 9 on weekdays. Lots of choices but none really stood out as delicious. The same goes for the dinner. Maybe it was that day but the food was just mediocre. For the breakfast I would add more pastries and not just bread. For the dinner there should be a baked potato bar.

This hotel is crowded so the elevator does take time.

I can’t express how disheartening it is to stay in a Hyatt and experience what I have here. First day the customer service was awful. I frequent Hyatt hotels and they are my go to when it comes to any location, I’m booking a Hyatt but here was terrible! I was excited, initially, because it was out to me like this was a new location and because of how long I’ve been with Hyatt they wanted me to come check it out. We paid the $199 and was aware of the tour and brief and that’s fine but to get to the tour and see the state of the rooms and compare that to what they have us staying in is 🤯. Our room is falling apart the thermostat is hanging off the wall, whenever the air cuts on it sounds like someone has a blow torch trying to come into the room, the lighting is grunge the landscaping around the area is dead and full of possums but in the better area everything is lush and beautiful. The people staying next to us had small children who were screaming well into the night so much so I had to turn on sleep music on YouTube. The lighting at night was barely visible outside of the room and then the tour and asking us to become members of Hyatt vacation club when you didn’t even put your best foot forward in rooming us We have been in search of a timeshare but not this one when we were forced to stay in such horrible conditions but be shown there was better.

This is the cleanest resort I have ever stayed in. I went there with three teenagers and my husband and we had tons of room in the two bedroom villa. The back bedroom had two full size beds, a tv, a dresser and closet and was right next to the bathroom. When you came out of that room you were in a very very nice kitchen with everything you need to cook meals and a nice coffee pot. There was a dishwasher, full size refrigerator, microwave ,stove, oven farmhouse style sink and granite countertops. The one thing that came in really handy was the washer and dryer. The kitchen is open to the living room and these rooms have so many windows and are so bright and sunny. Our unit was an end unit on the third floor so I believe it had extra windows. Off of the living room was a nice little balcony and you could hear people teeing off on the golf course. From the living room you enter the master suite which was so nice!!! The bathroom in the master suite was huge with a shower, huge jetted tub and double sinks. The master suite and the living room have TV's as well. My son's girlfriend slept on the pull out couch in the living room and said it was very comfortable and am the linens were provided. The pool was totally incredible. So warm and clean. My boys loved the water slides and steam room. The outside hot tub was beautiful. You can get drinks at the bar which is great but they are pricy. I paid $21 for a small margarita. Along those lines is my only other negative comment. The first night we were there we ordered pizza from JJ's and had it delivered to our room. It was $48 for two pizzas that were very small, pretty burnt and were definitely just a frozen pizza. Other than that, this place is gorgeous and the good waaaaaaay outweighs the bad. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Loved it.

Were not expecting this property to be as nice as we found it! We had looked at several reviews prior to our visit and determined that some folks had a bad day. We were very happy with the check-in process, the information proved for our stay and the cleanliness of the property. Our room was very nice, well kept and maintained. Housekeeping was extremely efficient and friendly, as was all the other staff we met. Pool ws great and the Lazy River was better than the one in Aruba we have been to. We will definitely return to this property.

We had a great time here. This place is kids friendly, pools are heated, 2-3 hot tubs around the pool, steam room and sauna (sauna was under maintenance unfortunately). Kids club didn’t look like something our 6 year old would enjoy but he liked all the amenities. Food from BJ’s was good, cocktails very pricey though. Our room was very clean and really large with all kitchen and laundry stuff included. We did promotion that included sales pitch (didn’t like it and will go back without this craziness). Property is close to many restaurants and groceries shops so we were fully satisfied with that.

Transparently, I let some bad reviews almost dissuade me from staying here. So, I'm going to debunk my own theories (and provide another view on some of the opinions shared here):

1. I received a three-night stay in a studio room for $199 and a $100 Visa giftcard for attending a two-hour timeshare pitch. It was low pressure, quicker than expected, and honestly pretty fun. Shout out to Joann for making the time fly by and keeping it real. If you complain about high-pressure sales tactics, you're weak. It's their job.

2. My room was bug-free and clean (floors could use a deep clean but they weren't too bad). The bed is comfy and the in-room mini-kitchen was super convenient.

3. There are limited dining options (1) on the resort. Go somewhere else.

4. Everyone we came across was super friendly and helpful.

All in all, we had a great stay. It was rainy so we didn't utilize the outdoor amenities, but they were still open.

Get a good deal and stay here!
I enjoyed staying here for the most part. The amenities were great when they were working. The internet went out on a Thurs and didn't come back, we left on Sun. The jacuzzi in front of the steam/ sauna also wasn't heating from Wed- until we left. That was a bit disappointing. We ended up using the other jacuzzi that wasn't covered. The gym was very good, they had plenty of machines and weights. I also wish the tub in our room would have been a jacuzzi tub. It was just a normal tub. I did feel the rooms were very nice and clean with lots of space and overall my stay was good but it could have been great if the internet and jacuzzi were working correctly and consistently. All the people working there were very courteous and helpful.

Very quiet and secluded place, staff is very nice and quick to deal with any issues. Rooms still seem to be outdated, especially for the Hyatt brand. There was an open outlet box when I got to my room, the management took care of it the next day.

Pros:
Kitchen
2 bedrooms together

Cons:
Presentation - You get two tickets to sea world in return you need to attend the presentation about Hyatt Point system/Owner Program.
We were told the presentation is for 1.5 hours it ended up being 2 hours 15 mins presentation. I kept telling the guy (Luke - the presenter) I need to go back to the room my baby is up and is crying for me. He kept on delaying to reach to the end point of how much is the cost of buying the points and didn’t let me go. Additionally made us the unnecessary tour of 2 bedroom apartment when we had already rented the 2 bedroom even after telling him that. He did the presentation, tour and took us back to presentation and kept pressing us we need to go in and talk numbers for points otherwise the presentation wouldn’t be complete and we have to pay $260. It was 11:15 pm and we had the checkout at 12. Yet he kept on talking and started getting angry at yelling “ You guys had questions”, started throwing fit at us.

People are here to enjoy vacation and have other priorities like attending baby, checking out of the hotel, head back to different location, etc. Learn to read the room and understand the urgency if people are not interested don’t pressure/force to buy pointers, do unnecessary background checks to provide more suitable deals.

We were there to relax and enjoy my post birthday celebration but they ruined my day/trip.

I was gifted a gift card for a weekend away from my husband for Mothers Day in 2023. We could never coordinate a weekend for me to use until the weekend of 9/13/2024-9/15/2024. I booked the 1 bedroom Villa for the weekend with the SPA bathtub. I cannot say that enough with the SPA bathtub! That was the only reason why I booked this hotel instead of the Hill Country Resort where I was going to the Windlflower Spa. I got to my room and boy was I impressed I was blown away at how amazing it was. Until I went to relax in the tub and take a shower that was when the horror started! I had no hot water concierge sent up the engineering team and they fixed it but it stopped working. Saturday morning I had hot water in the shower. I thought sweet when I get back from my spa day I will order room service and then I will get in that amazing looking SPA bathtub! Oh I was wrong! NO HOT WATER AGAIN!!! Then I found out that the room I was in the hot water heater was shared with other rooms! LIKE WHAT??? SHARED? I thought I heard wrong but nope and my room wasn’t the only room with that! How can you expect a 38gallon hot water heater to work for MULTIPLE ROOMS??? Never again will I stay here and do not suggest it if you want to relax and utilize the SPA bathtub and all the food was blah let alone my drink order was wrong! Can you just get your sh together! Thanks for ruining my relaxing staycation as a mother/wife/and work full time you made me stress even more! But thanks for finally getting me into a room just take a shower!

The lazy river, pools, well landscaped grounds are amazing for fun loving adults and kids. The long walking path is dirt. Wish it were crushed shell. Activities were apealing (yoga, Bingo, fire pit, etc.) Charcoal grills available. The buildings in the common areas are well maintained. JBs restaurant on premises was very good.
Showing some age in the rooms' paint and furniture. Plumbing in surrounding rooms is very loud. Overall a very good stay.

This resort was hands down the best resort I have ever stayed at and we have stayed in resorts all over the world. The service was absolutely amazing, we felt truly welcomed. The pool was crisp and large and the lazy river was such a fun added bonus. Just everything was amazing. It was my mom’s bday and they had balloons in the room:) and even a bottle of wine!! 10/10 will be staying again.

Such a wonderful place to spend some time to relax. We took advantage of a promotion that required us to do the vacation club presentation. Sales person was wonderful. Tommy, gave us some great information and best of all, he was nice and understood that we were not going to purchase club membership at the time. Even though he was not going to get a sale from us, he still gave us more information and was nice up to the end. We hope to go back someday to him and purchase club membership from Tommy.
The property was beautiful. Clean with very, very friendly staff.
We highly recommend Hyatt Residence Club San Antonio.

Remember to use HotelTully.ᴄᴏm when booking your stay. This site will compare countless booking web sites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it.

I've been an owner there for over a decade. The staff is top notch as are the accommodations. I had our best friends and family all come for a wonderful week. Quite a nice place, close to San A, all the attractions but in a serene environment.

Rooms are somewhat dated. They are pretty good but we have stayed in rooms with better appliances, and kitchen tools. Everything was pretty clean. The location in our opinion is a good location, about twenty minutes to downtown San Antonio. Also close to SeaWorld and Six Flags though those were closed during our visit. The interstate system in San Antonio is good once you get the frontage roads figured out. Lots of really good restaurants within five to ten minutes to the property. Grocery store and service station really close.

A large resort located in a residential suburban setting. Property is expansive and looks like it has plenty of room for expansion. Individual units are beginning to show some signs of dating but they are clean and include most of the amenities one could think of. Beds and pillows are excellent. Bathrooms are large and include shower necessities (soaps, gels, shampoo, NO lotion), and also a cosmetic mirror in each . Kitchen appliances are showing their age but are all (mostly) in working order. Of slight annoyance is the lighting, or I should say, lack of lighting. The bedrooms and bathroom lights are exceeding dim. If you're looking to read, you may have to do so in the kitchen/dining room area or on the patio.
The main registration building is beautiful; the decor certainly befitting of the Texas area. There is a restaurant and bar on the property should you not want to leave the property. A large indoor/outdoor pool area is located in the center of the resort with numerous hot tubs dotted nearby. A very nice touch are both a steam room and sauna situated in the rec/pool area (of which I partook on a daily basis). Water slides for kids (and a few of us adults), a nice lazy river, and a children's activity center are all close by. There is also a primitive nature trail surrounding the resort for a nice little change of pace. Numerous deer were sighted during our stay.
Our visit was in the late Fall so this review is probably not indicative of what activity might be like when at full capacity during the summer months, but during our week there were few people utilizing the facilities. From Thursday on it became noticeably busier.
We have been Hyatt owners over 20 years but this was our first visit to Wild Oaks Ranch. It is certainly an inviting location for families with young children as many of the outside options and activities are geared towards them. The families we encountered appeared to be having a wonderful time at the lazy river and pool areas.
The resort is relatively close to downtown San Antonio (a 20 minute drive at most) yet feels secluded and peaceful. I recommend Wild Oak Ranch as a nice location for families looking for a large, fun and safe place to spend a relaxing week enjoying the water and sun.
My Wife and I loved this place. It was a relaxing adventure for our anniversary. Secluded in a beautiful wilderness setting, with plenty of fun activities and therapeutic escapes. Today we had a great lunch and cocktails at JB's, and had wonderful service from the bartender who was charming and very helpful. Then we got dressed for the pool and took a dip in the lazy river, and it quickly followed by a soak in one of the many hot tubs. We liked it so much that we decided to book another night. Tomorrow we might do some yoga in the gym, or hit the the saunas. Who knows? Maybe we'll try the nature trails.
Also, if you have children, they have a playground area, bench swings, and Camp Armadillo with tons of fun activities for little ones. We also noticed corn hole games, ping pong, horse shoes, a golf putting course, beach volleyball and Foosball. What doesn't this place have?
10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing adventure. We can't wait to come back. Fun for the whole family or even a romantic getaway.
We were excited about coming here and looking into buying a timeshare. But the first night, the hot water didn't last long enough for my family to shower/bath. Same issue the next day but someone came to check the hot water heater. In the meantime we asked for a room so our child could take a bath, moved to the room and ran water, the tub has black mold like debris in it. We were offered another room, we weren't moving again. I'm over it at this point so we made due with the shower. If we hadn't been offered a jacuzzi room, then we wouldn't want to use it. But since we have one, it would've been nice to use it and the hot water. My husband and I couldn't sleep soundly due to the noise coming from the ceiling fan. We think the room and amenities are nice. The couch cushions are worn as well, one side sits lower than the other. Overall this wasn't the worst experience, we expected more from the resort and it fell short.
