Fontana Hot Tub Hotels — Quick Guide

Quick reference for booking a Jacuzzi suite in Fontana and the Inland Empire, California

Best Time to Visit

  • Spring (March–May): Peak season for the Inland Empire. Pleasant temperatures before summer heat sets in. NASCAR and racing events at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana (when scheduled) drive the single biggest hotel demand spikes in the market. The Riverside Festival of Lights afterglow and spring convention activity at the Riverside Convention Center keep moderate demand across the I-10 corridor. Book 4–6 weeks ahead for race event weekends.
  • Fall (September–November): Excellent shoulder season with warm but comfortable Inland Empire temperatures. Ontario Convention Center events and Ontario Mills shopping traffic keep demand steady. A good time for couples combining a Jacuzzi stay with a day trip to Temecula Wine Country or the San Bernardino Mountains.
  • Summer (June–August): Hot Inland Empire summers moderate leisure demand. Hotels along I-10 and I-15 see pass-through traffic from travelers heading to Palm Springs, Big Bear, or Las Vegas. Midweek rates across Fontana, Ontario, and San Bernardino drop to their most competitive summer levels.
  • Winter (December–February): The Riverside Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn (late November through January) draws strong December demand to the Riverside Convention Center area. January and February are the quietest and most affordable months across the broader Inland Empire market.
Booking tip: The Inland Empire is one of the most affordable Jacuzzi hotel markets in Southern California. Most properties fall between $65 and $140/night — significantly cheaper than comparable hotels in Los Angeles, Anaheim, or San Diego. Hilton Garden Inn San Bernardino ($102, 8.8/10) is the highest-rated property in the market. Two properties in Riverside — Thunderbird Lodge and Dynasty Suites — offer heart-shaped Jacuzzis, a rare feature in the Inland Empire.

Important Booking Tips for Fontana and the Inland Empire

  • Auto Club Speedway race events: NASCAR and other racing events at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana create the largest hotel demand spikes in the market. Comfort Inn Fontana and Hilton Garden Inn Fontana are the closest Jacuzzi hotels to the speedway — book 5–7 weeks ahead for major race weekends when events are scheduled.
  • Confirm your room type: Not all rooms in these hotels include a Jacuzzi. Look specifically for "Jacuzzi Suite," "Whirlpool Suite," or "Spa King" when booking to avoid a standard room at check-in.
  • Heart-shaped Jacuzzis in Riverside: Thunderbird Lodge ($109/night) and Dynasty Suites ($85/night) are the two heart-shaped Jacuzzi properties in the Inland Empire — both located in Riverside near the Convention Center. Dynasty Suites is the more affordable of the two; Thunderbird Lodge carries a slightly stronger overall package with pool and breakfast.
  • Ontario Airport proximity: Ontario Airport Hotel ($81/night), Baymont Ontario ($65/night), and Hotel Hacienda ($81/night) are all within 5 miles of Ontario International Airport — practical choices for travelers wanting a Jacuzzi suite near the terminal. Hotel Hacienda carries the best guest rating among them.
  • Riverside Festival of Lights: The annual Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn in Riverside runs from late November through early January and draws significant crowds to downtown Riverside. Marriott Riverside and Thunderbird Lodge are the closest Jacuzzi hotels to the Mission Inn — book ahead for December weekends during the festival.
  • Best budget options: Baymont Ontario ($65/night) and Ramada Ontario ($70/night) are the most affordable Jacuzzi hotels in the market, though both carry moderate guest ratings. Sierra Crossing Motel ($89/night, 7.6/10) offers better value for travelers wanting a budget option with mountain views and full kitchens along Valley Boulevard.

Right off the highway with frankly one of the cleanest pools I’ve seen yet. A strong working probably new hot tub jacuzzi. And nice clean rooms with windows that open all the way. Just bathrooms could use some tuning up. But I don’t really vacation for the bathroom experience.

Well overall I've had a good experience. The coffee maker is awesome in the room because you can make tea or coffee or anything you want. I love the breakfast in the morning. However this is a non-smoking facility. Which means you shouldn't have to smell pot smell down the hallways in the hotel. I have been smelling pot ever since I've been here. That's a no-no and a non-smoking facility. It got worse towards the weekend. I complained to the front desk yesterday and the smell got even worse today. When I walked down for breakfast I could smell down the whole hallway on the second floor. They shouldn't be advertising smoke free environment if it is not the case. I would have gave it five stars but the smoke stuff has got to stop.

Spoke with a very rude woman at 7:35 p.m. December 5th 2023. I requested some information about staying there and having a friend pay for my room. The female associate hung up on me without answering any of my questions and then refused to answer the phone when I called back. I'm waiting for escrow to close on my property and I need a place to stay with my daughter instead of having good customer service at this establishment they're rude and disrespectful, and I wouldn't stay here. With the time specifically and the date, management should be able to identify which female was answering the phone at that time and they should be able to retrain unprofessional employees or fire them because they're just costing you business.

2 stars because the rooms are nice. But their deposit policy is absolutely ridiculous. It ranges from 150 to 250, and don't leave makeup on the towels or they'll charge you for "damage" saying they can't remove makeup from towels.

Had a room on the ground floor. Staff were friendly, room was clean, and breakfast was good but the waffle weren't good. Probably the batter. The eggs, meats, bread, coffee and juice were good. Location is perfect if you're visiting that area.

Bar staff (Kendra)and chef in the evening are INCREDIBLE! Great service, friendly and fun atmosphere! Great drinks and delicious food. This is a salmon dish that tastes as good as it looks!

Dessert drink is a peppermint mocha martini- delish!
So if I need extra blankets and pillows I have to go down to get them?? Traveling alone with my 7yo son, so I guess I'll live without, I'm not leaving him in the room alone, asleep. One person working the hotel at night does not work, guys. They were dismissive when I tried to check in early, and again when asking for a blanket, and I'm supposedly a "diamond" customer. Nice "diamond" service.

We stayed due to having out truck break down and we're so glad we did. The rooms are very comfortable. The staff is constantly cleaning and caring for the hotel. It's so clean!!! The staff is just wonderful, friendly and helpful! There are tons of food options in very easy walking distance and all of them we tried were wonderful. The hotel also has a restaurant and the food there is just amazing. This hotel is worth every penny we spent. 10/10 would totally stay again. Thank you for making a stressful time (truck breaking down) into a wonderful experience.
