We booked this hotel and were really excited about going. We tested positive for Covid and called them and attempted to reschedule our stay— we didn’t even request a refund just a reschedule. The owner was incredibly rude and refused to reschedule. We tried calling and they never returned our call. It seems like they don’t care about their guests as they would rather us have visited with Covid than reschedule. I recommend staying somewhere else that has better customer service and is more understanding about inevitable complications that might arise. We even offered to show them proof of the positive Covid test
Amazing, amazing, amazing! My wife and I came here for our anniversary trip and it was amazing! The Emerald Iguana is tucked into a quiet neighborhood and was perfect. The pool and jacuzzi were great. Our room was extremely nice and comfortable. We stayed in the Cricket 2 and it was rad. Two story room. Living room downstairs and king bedroom upstairs.
A charming property with everything you could want. Our room was more like a detached casita, with a private patio. It was large enough to accommodate a king bed, leather chairs by the gas fireplace, bath and kitchenette nook. Amenities included coffeemaker, toaster, mini-fridge, cups, plates, etc. and drinks and snacks for purchase. We got the breakfast basket, which had enough food for three days of light breakfasts. We also appreciated the welcome room, open 24 hours with snacks, games, extra coffee supplies and dvds. The grounds, pool and hot tub are beautiful and immaculately maintained and the property is a short drive/walk to downtown Ojai. We’d definitely stay there again.
Wonderful and peaceful oasis, like a heavenly dream. The pool area and tea room were so lovely and in general the vibe is pure joy and tranquility, what a calming and healing experience. Shout out to Lauren for being so attentive to our group, she made us feel so welcome and pampered. Love this place!
Can't say enough good things about this wonderful place. Beautiful environment, quiet, tranquil, lots of birds and no kids! Amenities met our needs and were glad that the usual array of typical hotel stuff was no where in sight. Best place ever to unwind and rest and guests were also quiet and courteous. Maybe it's the environment. Can't recommend it enough. Christine H
Front desk workers were AMAZING. Super friendly and gave me the quietest room from a long day of driving. I believe her name is Brianna or close to that (I suck at names). She was wonderful, called up to my room to make sure it was quiet enough for me. Room is nice and clean as well. Give that lady a raise!
My recent stay at Comfort Inn & Suites was the worst experience I’ve had traveling. I payed full price for this room at $260 and I was hoping for a three star experience. I stayed at this hotel based on the three star hotel rating. I was traveling alone with my two boys. After checking in at 11 o’clock at night we went up to our room on the second floor and the entire floor smelled of cannabis. I went back down to ask for a different room on a different floor. The attendant at the front desk did give me another room on the first floor. I checked the room to make sure that the windows were locked and there was a homeless woman sitting right on the curb about 20 feet away from the window. And I did not feel comfortable staying in this room next to a busy street with a homeless person. The rooms have not been updated since it was built and had an old dingy smell. I went back to the front desk because I did not feel comfortable staying at the hotel and explained that to the front desk attendant. He called Bernadette Aggen the general manager to speak with her. She told him that I would not get a refund and to make accommodations for me. I did not have enough money to go to the Marriott down the street, which was the same price. When you are searching for hotels in this area, the Marriott does not come up, so be sure to look up Marriott in Ventura for a better experience. I did not get any accommodation. I did not get a refund, I did not get a partial refund. I got a different room on the other side that was not next to the street. I did not get an upgraded room. There was no accommodations given.
We were so happy to have stayed here. Cold a/c. Clean room. Comfy bed lots of tv channels. We left 10 minutes after checking in at the over priced “Inn On The Beach” and found this place. Friendly staff too! It was ALL great!!!
Awesome! We were on our way through going to Pismo. We had just left inn at the beach-awful (stay away). The hotel clerk here (wish I would’ve gotten her name) was so nice. She was going to give us an upgrade just because she knew what we just went through with the other hotel and we were burnt out. Great location, good rooms, friendly staff.
I was not a guest at this motel. I was visiting friends who were staying there. This place gets an A++ your friendliness and hospitality. When I walked in the front door, Bernadette greeted me with, "Hello, sunshine!". I look behind me because I thought she was talking to the photons. Her assistant Paul was also friendly and helpful. Bernadette called my friend's room and he came down to get me. Next time I m in Ventura I will stay there!
