Virginia Beach Hot Tub Hotels — Quick Guide

Quick reference for booking a Jacuzzi suite in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Best Time to Visit

  • Summer (June–August): Peak season. Virginia Beach is one of the most popular beach destinations on the East Coast. The Virginia Beach Boardwalk fills from late June through August. Atlantic Avenue hotels book out fast for summer weekends. Highest pricing of the year. Book 4 to 6 weeks ahead for July and August stays.
  • Fall (September–October): Best value season. Temperatures stay warm enough for the beach through September. Crowds thin significantly after Labor Day and pricing drops across the board. Good availability at all properties. One of the best times for a couples jacuzzi-and-beach getaway.
  • Spring (April–May): Shoulder season. Neptune Festival preparations begin and spring weather is pleasant. Good availability mid-week with moderate pricing. A solid time for couples before summer rates kick in.
  • Winter (November–February): Lowest pricing window. Most seasonal properties reduce rates significantly. The Boardwalk is quiet but walkable. Good time for couples to find deals on oceanfront jacuzzi rooms at hotels that stay open year-round.
Booking tip: Virginia Beach hotel pricing is highly seasonal. The same oceanfront jacuzzi room can cost 2 to 3 times more in July than in September. If flexibility allows, visiting in late September or early October gives you warm weather, open beaches, and a fraction of the summer rate.

  • In-bedroom Jacuzzi (most common): Found at Capes Hotel, Hilton Garden Inn Town Center, The Breakers Resort Inn, Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront, The Schooner Inn (heart-shaped), Sandcastle Resort, and Econo Lodge I-64.
  • Bathroom-installed spa tub (full-service and condo-style hotels): Found at Four Sails Resort, Fairfield Inn and Suites Marriott Oceanfront, The Founders Inn and Spa, Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront, and Ocean Sands Resort by VSA.

Important Booking Tips for Virginia Beach

  • Shoulder season saves significantly: September and October offer warm beach weather at 40 to 60% lower rates than July peak pricing. The Boardwalk is still enjoyable and most jacuzzi properties remain fully open.
  • Confirm your room type: Not all rooms in these hotels have jacuzzis. Look specifically for "Jacuzzi Suite," "Whirlpool Suite," or "Spa King" when booking to avoid a standard room, especially at large resort properties.
  • Best budget options: The Schooner Inn ($56/night) and Capes Hotel ($76/night, 9.9/10) are the most affordable jacuzzi options near the Boardwalk. Capes Hotel offers the best combination of price and rating on the entire Atlantic Avenue strip.
  • Heart-shaped Jacuzzi note: The Schooner Inn is the only confirmed heart-shaped hot tub property in Virginia Beach, at $56/night near Grommet Island Park.
  • Founders Inn for a non-beach stay: The Founders Inn and Spa is about 10 miles from the oceanfront in a colonial-style setting near the Great Dismal Swamp. It offers a completely different experience from the resort strip, suitable for couples who want spa amenities and quiet surroundings without a beachfront price.
  • Verify with the hotel: Some travelers report jacuzzi rooms can be substituted at check-in if not confirmed directly with the property at the time of booking.

The front desk attendants were very friendly and professional at all times. I loved the view and hot tub in the room. The hotel was located where I didn't have
to drive anywhere. I could walk for food, drink and grocery. Thank you

I love to travel locally and abroad. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in so far. very clean, can't complain. The location is a perfect place to unwind and recharge after a stressful day. All the staff except Darla were friendly, welcoming and helpful, I felt valued.
I had the balcony door overlooking the ocean opened the whole day and night & enjoyed the fresh sea air, the sound of the ocean was music to my ears. The sunrise is amazingly awesome!. They have very good food at the restaurant; the owner is very friendly.

Had highly recommended this hotel and the restaurant to my family and friends, wished it was cheaper for just one person, then I'll be a regular client 🙂

But where do customers of the restaurant park if they just want to go eat without being a guest at the hotel?

I just spent 5 nights there on a solo vacation. Loved everything about this place. The front desk staff were fun to chat with. The housekeeping and front desk staff are very sweet and provided me with everything I needed. A very warm and cozy hotel with easy access to the beach and shopping. I had the best sleep from the sound of the waves!

August 2023 - My family of 5 had an amazing vacation. We were able to check in early and use the amenities. Staff and housekeepers were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and very clean, and the view from the balcony was unbeatable. The hotel steps away from the beach and shops/restaurants. Pricing was fair, would recommend you stay here.

Giving 4 only because of a few things, pool was cool, hot tub didnt work, door lock on room didn't work well, had to go to desk in swimsuits and cold, to get cards recharged,, breakfast is not part of stay, still, room was nice with all amenities and staff were very pleasant, also great location depending upon what you're there for. Also got great deal. So a few repairs and it's a 5.

Fair price and FREE PARKING.
Went to Hotel-Tonight app and got really good price $107.
Service is good.
Parking is limited on weeknights .
Room was clean with nice TV w/ many channels, including movie channels. Lots of things to do or eat in the immediate area.
Street-side room is a little noisy.
For business I have stayed in hotels all over the globe for over 20 years. I don’t feel like positive feedback is given enough, but I felt that it needed to be shared. As an executive for a multimillion dollar company with managers and employees I am responsible for, I know good employees are hard to find during these times. Bryce at the front desk was absolutely amazing to deal with from day 1 at check in. He also helped me extend my stay. He was also very outgoing and talkative even when he was off the clock and leaving for the day. He is probably the best employee I’ve dealt with at a hotel in the last 20 years. He has a great personality and is very professional and also a real person at the same time which I appreciate. I hope you realize what you have and recognize and compensate him for his worth. He certainly deserves it! Hilton garden inn towns center Va beach.

Typical 3 or 3-1/2 star hotel. In room coffee, microwave, and fridge. Decent mattress. Clean, reasonably-updated bathroom. Climate control was fine. Carpet seems a little dated. Parking is limited or across the street. Breakfast buffet for an additional fee. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and stores. Silly business practice that they collect an extra $25 upon check-in for incidentals. WHAT incidentals?

Bryce at the front desk is the absolute friendliest and most customer focused worker I have come across. He went above and beyond to help me with an issue I was having. I usually don’t leave reviews but it was such a positive experience I strongly felt the need to shoutout a star employee. Seriously thanks so much Bryce

I needed help getting my Hilton Honors set up. Bryce answered all of my questions, even the ones he wasn't sure about. He took the time to figure put exactly what I needed to know, thanks to Pamela!!! He has a very pleasant personality and is very efficient! I ended up staying at the greenbrier location, which was nice. The staff was exceptionally helpful and were very attentive to my needs...wonderful customer service, can't wait to stay at their Town Center location, so I can buy then dinner or something!!!

I have stayed here many times over the past 2 years and can attest to the convenient location with many restaurants available within walking distance! The staff are amazing from the GM Carlos to the front desk personnel Bryce and Gabbie. The three of them always strive to meet guests needs and are extremely personable and a pleasure to have them available for any of your needs.
Thank you so much to the three of them for making me feel welcome and at “home”!!!!
