2. Take Your Photo at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign
What a fun, classic experience! The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign has greeted visitors at the south end of the Strip since 1959, and a photo in front of it is almost a rite of passage for couples. It’s free, and there’s a small parking lot in the median of Las Vegas Boulevard.
Go early in the morning or late at night if you want a photo without a long line behind you. Newlyweds often come straight from the chapel in their wedding outfits, which makes for a fun scene of its own.
3. Book a Hot Air Balloon Ride
For bird’s eye views of the Nevada landscape, I strongly recommend booking a hot air balloon ride! Flights take off at sunrise, and some operators, like Vegas Balloon Rides, include a Champagne toast. How long you stay in the air depends on the operator and the wind, so check before you book.
Keep in mind that the balloons launch in the Mojave Desert, about an hour’s drive from the Strip, so tours usually include a ride out from Las Vegas; check whether yours picks up at your hotel. This may not be the craziest thing to do in Las Vegas for couples, but the free show on the lake in front of the Bellagio is an experience you definitely don’t want to miss.
The colors, choreography, and music are simply spectacular. More than 1,000 fountains spread across more than 1,000 feet of lake, and the highest jets shoot water 460 feet into the air. Shows run every 30 minutes in the afternoon and early evening and every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight, and each one lasts only a few minutes, so it’s easy to fit one in. If you want a table with a view, the Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio and the Eiffel Tower Restaurant across the street at Paris Las Vegas both overlook the fountains.

5. Discover Erotic Artifacts, Art, and Exhibits at the Erotic Heritage Museum
First off, I have to say that this isn’t your typical Vegas museum! It mainly focuses on sexuality and sex education from an evolutionary standpoint. The collection of erotic items at the Erotic Heritage Museum, just off the Strip on Sammy Davis Jr. Drive, is impressive. It’s open seven days a week, and visitors must be 18 or older with ID.
Expect to see a lot of unique artwork, as well as erotic historical artifacts. Some exhibits are funny, some are serious, and a few are just weird to say the least. The layout is well-designed, making it easy to navigate. One more thing: the museum is much larger than it looks from the outside, and you can easily spend an hour or two here.

6. Red Rock Canyon: Visiting Rock Formations in the Nevada Desert
Las Vegas is not just about the famous Strip and the casinos. Couples in search of outdoor activities can visit the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in the Nevada desert, about 17 miles west of the city, and admire the beauty of the awesome rock formations along the 13-mile scenic drive. There are numerous hiking trails of varying lengths and difficulties, and the entrance fee is $20 per car. My personal favorite stop is the High Point Overlook.
From October 1 to May 31 you also need a timed-entry reservation on Recreation.gov to drive in between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., so book your slot before you go. If you are visiting in the summer, make sure to arrive at the canyon early in the day. Put on a significant amount of sunscreen and pack a few bottles of water to stay hydrated.

In case you opt for a helicopter ride above Las Vegas, you should probably know that the flight over the Strip lasts about 10 to 15 minutes. I like the night flights best, when the whole Strip is lit up below you. Some night flights include hotel pickup and drop-off and others don’t, so check when you book.
8. See Artifacts Recovered from the Titanic at the Luxor Hotel & Casino
The Luxor Hotel & Casino is home to one of the best museums in Las Vegas, the amazing Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. This place has more than 350 artifacts recovered from the wreck site of the Titanic. These are not replicas: you will see luggage, passengers’ personal belongings, floor tiles and even cups. The largest piece is the Big Piece, a 15-ton section of the ship’s hull.
Of course, there is an area with a few replicas. The most popular is the full-scale Grand Staircase, which looks amazing, and there is also a re-creation of the Promenade Deck that you shouldn’t miss. You can even touch an iceberg chilled to the temperature of the water on the night the ship sank. Most visitors spend 60 to 90 minutes here, and I believe that in order to truly appreciate the exhibit, you have to read the stories rather than just walk through the rooms.

Couples with a sweet tooth visiting Las Vegas can grab chocolate-inspired cocktails at The Chocolate Bar. You will find this popular watering hole at the New York-New York casino, right outside Hershey’s Chocolate World.

Before the ceremony you need a marriage license from the Clark County Marriage License Bureau downtown, open from 8 a.m. to midnight every day. You can fill in the application online first, but you both have to go in person with ID.

14. Leap from 829 feet on SkyJump at The STRAT
SkyJump at the STRAT is the most extreme thing couples can do in Las Vegas. This leap from 829 feet above the Strip is definitely not for the faint-hearted. It holds a Guinness World Record as the highest commercial decelerator descent facility.
What’s it all about? You will be attached to a descender machine that guides you down to a landing pad. For a safe landing, the decelerator slows you down as you reach the ground. The views from the observation deck and the jump platform are nothing short of spectacular! Safety comes first, and staff members check that the harness fits before the jump. Jumpers must be at least 14, and there are height and weight limits.

Upon arrival, the hosts will tell you everything there is to know about this unique dining process.
